Mothers and daughters have a very special bond. How about competing together in your very own pageant? Inspired by Velma's mother Laverne Holmes Carroll, the Mother-Daughter Pageant provides mothers and daughters a unique chance to share a special moment.

WHY VJC PAGEANTS?
​
Dr. Velma Jean Carroll is the founder and Producer of VJC Pageants. She's a Pageant veteran of 30 years: 15 as a contestant and 15 as a Director. She has produced two televised pageants and co produced one. She's the Director of the Miss Black Shreveport Pageant, Mother Daughter Pageant, Most Beautiful Girl In The World Pageant and Miss City of Roses Pageants. She attended LSU-S, Wiley College and Word of Life Bible College. She's a member of Carroll Temple C.O.G.I.C. where she serves as church Administrator, and Sunday School Teacher! Dr. Carroll's motto is: "Life is divided into two roads! Choose the Direction you will Travel!!"
